Comments: Hola climbing amigos. I'm driving out to Vegas with my lovely girlfriend Jillian on the afternoon/evening of Thursday the 27th and returning on the night of Sunday the 30th. I'll be leaving from the Los Angeles area and I'm wondering if anyone wants to ride with us? Also, we're getting a hotel room at the quad for Thursday/Friday/Saturday night. Does anyone want to split a room with us? I got a quote for ~$150.00 (everything included) for a room with 2 queen size beds, so if split 3 ways that's ... more >>

Comments: The anchor on this route is now top of the line. Two bolts with chains to a single mussy hook backed up by a third bolt with chains to a second mussy hook.

I agree with Matthew's view of the rating, 5.11a is a bit inflated. At the 4th bolt crux, using the left hand lay back it felt about 10c, going right of this bolt using the high step right foot smear to the very high right hand slope/chicken head felt like 10d. (Though it could easily have been labeled 10b if it were in Joshua Tree!)

Comments: More importantly however, the bolt protecting the crux of the face climb (the one just above the small "roof" about 2/3 up the route is spinning in its hole. Furthermore, a very suspicious crack is forming around this bolt and the rock sounds very hollow. It's my opinion that a fall of more than a few feet on this bolt could pull down a section of the roof it is drilled into and be a very serious hazard to the belayer (directly below) and climber alike.

Comments: The wooden ledge claimed to be at the base of this route is no longer there. As a result, the first bolt is approximately 20 feet above the "ledge/tree" where one begins the route. However, a crack at the base of the route takes gear well. Specifically, I used a #1 BD, but could have sunk stoppers of several sizes as well.

Comments: I believe there is an 11ish just to the left of this unnamed 10a. It begins with two bolts at the same height along a juggy traverse then proceeds into a left heel hook and left hand flake pull up...
What would you guys rate that route?
