Comments: The crux moves are super physical overhanging laybacking. Great fun. On the harder side of 11b in comparison to other routes in Hong Kong

Comments: The local guide gives it 6b+, i.e. 11a. Tricky moves, don't blow the fourth clip.

Comments: Getting to the fixed draws is definitely harder than 5.11. Don't get suckered into thinking it is easy. There is a hard move off of a tiny crimp to an okay sloper where you clip the bolt directly below the roof.

Comments: The initial boulder problem was hard. The rest of the route felt not too bad, maybe 11c? The top gets less steep as the holds get smaller. Beautiful climbing.

Comments: Hard, bouldery moves getting to the anchors from the last bolt.

Comments: Good on ya for getting this one done. Jake and I checked it out one time , such an obvious line. We didn't have the guns(or the huevos) to pull it off. Good to see that it got climbed.

Comments: I'm pretty sure this is located on the backside of the Deep Forest Arete boulder From Deep Forest Arete, walk down and around the boulder until you reach the obvious chimney sized crack. A bit past the chimney/ OW thing is Jabberwocky, which climbs through a small pocket... Vague, I know but it was a while ago that Eric showed me this problem. I couldn't do it at the time but it seemed like a nice problem.

Comments: I remember the Supertopo says small to 3 inches or something like this for the second pitch so I headed up with only gear up to 3 inches! I definitely do NOT recommend this to anyone, as I had to walk my #3 until it wouldn't fit anymore, which still left me with about 30 feet to go before the top with no gear, spooky.

Comments: Ha, just go for it Sean, we didn't rap clean. It is not so intimidating once you are actually on it :) The rock was pretty clean when we first did it

Comments: Bumpis and Big Slick Manzy are on a large boulder right adjacent to the Caveman boulder. Bumpis is on the left side of the boulder and Big Slick Manzy around on the right side. There is also a pretty cool thin fingercrack on this boulder as well, very aesthetically pleasing if I remember correctly. There are quite a few boulders with nice rock quality right past the Caveman boulder too....

Comments: Probably R rated, the chimney is low angle after the crux bulge, but there is no gear for the rest of the pitch, if you were to blow it then a hospital trip would be likely.

Comments: This route gets 11d (7a) on the new hongkongclimbing.com. I think 11c is accurate (6c+). 11b is a sandbag.

Comments: On the Boulder problem pitch my partner and I took the crack directly above the boulder problem and found it to be about the same grade as the o.g. boulder problem. Check it out sometime for something new

Comments: I take back my previous comments, I either don't remember how I used to do it or something has changed but this thing definitely feels harder than it used to. More like a 4.

Comments: The crux moves coming over the roof are super funky, Will Barnes and I had good fun on it after being shown the line by Andy. A bit gritty from lack of use...

Comments: I think most people either downclimb the route (it isn't that bad + is good for you)or go for the tree route. I like downclimbing the face, as it affords a nice long warm up of going up and down and all around on the face

Comments: I really enjoy all of the problems in this small courtyard area. I believe Will and I climbed a route to the left of this one as well, passing through some very hollow flakes. It was exciting.

Comments: I thought it was pretty easy for a Josh 3, it climbed more like a route than a boulder problem. Good fun!
