Comments: Warning: Finish climbing early (8-9am) unless you want to get swarmed by the mid morning bees. I was here two days ago, setting anchor when out of nowhere a swarm of bees came over the ridge and attacked my belayer and I. They didn't let up until half way to the Parking lot. I returned that evening around 8:30 and approached from the backside to retrieve gear I had left behind during the "escape," and I came across two hives- one the size of a dinner plate and one about 3 by 1.5 feet. Comments: The forest is closed due to fire restrictions right now. Nevertheless, I was there yesterday and ran into a giant bleack bear at the base of the dried up waterfall. Apparently both the bear and I were lookoing for the last little bit of water in the area. If you decide to go soon, keep an eye out!
