Comments: A couple of notes:

1) If you cannot find a parking spot use valet parking at the Ahwahnee, which is free (until all of you read this and take advantage). Tip the guys.

2) If rapelling, rap off the bush in the sandy gully with the rap slings about 120' out if I remember. There is a pine tree higher up but that adds a rap to a long day of double rope raps. Supertopo is wrong about how far you get off the pine tree.

3) There are two rap stations to climbers' right of the chimney to avoid s... more >>

Comments: As of 5/2011 the bolts are still in need of replacement. Looks like 3/8" studs with thin hangers.

Comments: I just climbed this. The upper rap station is up to the right of the last bolt. After you top out you have to scramble right and up to the belay station that sits on a separate rock. It is clearly visible from the lower rap station and above.

Comments: I heard a key hold broke off this route. Unless it can be glued back on, the difficulty has been upped significantly.

Comments: I had always wanted to do this just because it looks cool. It ended up being even better than it looks due to a long ramp you climb after the roof traverse. It heads up and right after the traverse.

Comments: "i need get some wide angel action"

I prefer the skinny angels to the wide ones. Sometimes the wide ones are too heavy to fly you all the way up to heaven.

Comments: The Ramona Wall and Miller Time Walls have seasonal closure Dec 15 through August 31. It is very important to respect this. The Ramona Wall is a prefect fall climbing area and receives afternoon shade.

Comments: If you toprope this, it seems best to run the belay line far out left off of the overhanging wall.

Comments: This is a photo of the FA. A variation was later done that traverses left from here and heads up another 10a hand crack.

Comments: For P1 you can traverse left out of the base of the chimney to climb up more 10a hand crack as a good variation. This is probably safer but more difficult than the chimney which is a little run out up top.

Comments: The scramble up is on the climbers' right of the routes. It goes up a blocky gulley. We roped up for the last little section where it gets more difficult.

Comments: I don't know why I thought this was going to be super tough. It was great fun. The feet keep the pump factor down. Gear mostly in the .75" range but a few finger sized pieces are advised.

Comments: I'm having a little trouble following you, mdavis. If you look through the photos, you will see that I in fact led the route. I'm not sure to take you at your word as you guys posted up Bro Proj last year but neglected to post this one up too, but maybe so. Either way, having no way to know we did what we did and had a blast. I'm anxious for others to hop on this to see what they think.

Comments: I finally got on this thing. Full value. Four stars for one pitch.

We headed up White Maiden, heading left on the first pitch onto The Illegitimate. After a ways we went up a crack heading right off the Illegitimate which aims straight toward Zeno's. On an earlier attempt I tried to traverse in from the White Maiden ledge. It is a poorly protected downward traverse so your second will not be happy going that route.

I used a lot of gear, there is a really thin crack taking thin nuts and mi... more >>

Comments: Light like this in climbing shots is a beautiful rarity. This should be on the cover of a magazine.
