After hiking ~ 15 minutes, you will be at the base of Flake N Bake, at a point where numerous large boulders have recently fallen to the canyon bottom.  50 feet upstream the river bends to the north.  Continue N along the left (W) side of the river on smooth slabs for 50 more feet after the bend, enter a trail through thick brush, and hunch down under a massive boulder.  Cross the river under the boulder, then head south for 10 feet.  Here you will find a small slab, seen in the bottom rt corner of the photo.  Head E up the slab, then up the steep rounded ridge, aiming for the "Aid Boulder" in the pic.
