Comments: It needs some traffic... it's a bit dirty in spots and has some pesky vegetation on the second half of the first long pitch. The last ow to squeeze chimney is kinda dangerous and can be avoided by traversing, right, along blocky corners to the anchors of the Regular Routes second pitch, west, and one step up of the large ledge on the east side. Have fun

Comments: This excellent climbs leans deceptively to the left about 2/3rds of the way up, so be especially careful to protect for the follower after each hard move. Both a #5 and a #6 camelot, although not necessarily needed for lead protection, are very valuable to prevent the follower from swinging off the climb and into the corner to the left. Also a #2 camelot is needed as a directional at the top before traversing to the anchor use a long runner to prevent rope drag.

Comments: A more direct pitch leads up to the base of the slab and the chain anchor. This pitch starts thirty feet to the right of the bushy 5.8 approach pitch. Climb a short hand-crack, that rises from a ramp, to a ledge and climb 4th class terrain, straight up the the base of a clean hand-crack that parallels a right-facing flair/corner. Climb the hand-crack and flair to a shallow right-facing corner along a finger crack. At the top of the corner step left and go up and left to the to bolt anchor below... more >>

Comments: The areas that have been posted all lie on the north-side of the road.. the were submitted during the winter months... so the summer stuff hasn't been included. I'm considering posting some more information on the south-side of the road, but I've been working on a complete guide for both sides of the road, and haven't had time to add anymore info. Milt M.

Comments: It's sad that woodfords is all alone. The best climbing is going on right now. It's been high and dry in the canyon while the popular areas are soaked. Try something new and be adventurous.

Comments: Everything is 5.9 or 5.10 if you climb it enough, ratings for any area should be based on an on-sight lead attempt. Down-grading a climb that you have "wired" creates a dangerous situation for a visiting climber. Check your hat sizes for any recent changes.

Comments: Perfect Lieback is an excellent climb with a botched bolted anchor. Some with some time and know-how should renovate the anchor of this popular climb.
