Comments: Anyone know anything about a bunch of anchors on top of the rock ridge 1-2 miles up Wagon Tongue Road? I was scrambling around back there and found them. They weren't there a few years ago. There were about five sets, and one had another bolt below but looked useless. They were way back from the edge and above blank overhanging walls above the cave in the middle. My guess is that they are either for teaching people to rappel or hard ass toprope climbs (probably not).

Comments: I just spent a grand at my local shop last month on a bunch of shiny new cams and beaners. Last year I spent a few thousand dollars there on bc gear. Please don't lecture me on supporting local shops. I only have one, and they get alot of money from me, but they don't always have what I need/want. Fact is, they didn't have the pack I wanted so I bought it on line and tacked on a few other last minute impulse buys too. That's what sales are for.

Comments: Great sale! Saved me over $200. No way my local shop could give it away that cheap. I go to the lowest bidder when it comes to gear. Dana packs are on sale for like 40% off. Omega pacifics links and c4's are a great deal too.

Comments: I think I agree with the description. Way over bolted. I'm an average climber and not an elitist prick and I rarely complain about over bolting but this is over bolted. This would be a great route to get some kids or beginners on for their first lead though.Get 'em high off the ground too. If you clipped every bolt and linked the pitches you would have a ton of drag. Really shows the difference between old and new school routes.

Comments: This is a fun sustained climb. I can see how a new leader could struggle a little. Had to dig out a little moss to make a placement. I love the hand jams on this climb and the hex placements. The book I have said this is a 5.7 but This felt a little more stout than Lichen or Leave It (5.8). Maybe cause it's more sustained. Highly recommended.

Comments: Climber this yesterday in one pitch. Thought it was mostly 5.6 climbing a little weird at the final moves, probably the only spicy section on the climb. Fun climb though. Strange this is a 5.8 and the roof bypass to the left is a 5.7. Felt like it was maybe the other way around.

Comments: I thought it was made clear that Dean climbed the arch legaly. Looks like it to me. I was at the arch the afternoon, just killing time, after the alleged incident took place. I gave the arch a good look, just like any climber would looking for possible holds and wondereing if anyone had ever climbed it. I saw absolutely no chalk or sign of anyone besides little rugrats trying to climb the arch. I think it is seems like the climbers in Boulder are much more concerned about this symbol of the mor... more >>
