Comments: Annie the granite out here dries very fast. Its common for summer rain storms to move in for a brief moment and if you give it a couple of hours your back climbing. Looks like good weather ahead good luck!

Comments: These problems as well as others are fun. Can't miss this block. Not sure on FA information I climbed here last year and this block had chalk on it. Such cool features.

Comments: not that I am aware of. I looked at it during this photo. It looked like a very hard steep line up top. I'm sure anyone reading this will have it up here in a week or so. ;)

Comments: Honey Dew and the warm up variation I believe are the same thing from what I have heard. It matches all the descriptions for it anyway.

Comments: Did Gill do this problem or did a disciple of his? I asked Gill about this problem recently, and he said he didn't recall anything at Flagstaff in the Amphitheater that he did?

Comments: bouldered with an entourage of big pads and spotters. One of the scariest "boulder" problems I have done in the area. Slightly slick fine grain granite.

Comments: The landing built by Josh D. Is actually settled and really good now. I have done this problem many times with one pad and felt completely safe. It does help to be a solid V3 climber though. The holds coming out of the Cavity are pretty slopey and gritty. Don't just throw for them. The SDS adds full value also. Starts on the 2 obvious sidepull like crimps. Second move pulls into the Cavity. Just makes the grade solid.

Comments: This problem is still unrepeated as far as I know. I spent some time back in the day trying it with some pretty strong boulderers and it just didn't come together. Haven't really had any desire to go back and try. Its a project for the future climber.

Comments: There have been huge chunks of rock that have come loose since they burned a sash pile here a year or two ago. The start now is ricey and crumbly choss. Probably not V3 anymore and probably needs some huge clean up at the start.

Comments: I think for sport routes there could be potential if you know where to look. Bouldering there is a couple good ones.

Comments: suprisingly the Red and Yellow lines flow really good and are really fun. The hardest top is the top. Don't expect much. I have done the red close on the yellow. The red you pretty much have to either figure out high feet or jump like I do and slap and just kind of hope you stick? I have video somewhere i need to find of these problems. Glad you did the Blue Line never tried that one I always thought that one looked hard. By the way witnessed a few people very close to sending your V5 in the Tra... more >>

Comments: i believe Carls problem is slightly left of this one. Willy and I did some clean up and the first two holds broke off to produce better holds. If memory serves me right it was really really dirty. There were other "cleaned" lines on this block though. I did ask Greg, Dave and BK and neither of them said they touched this block. I had heard Carl had a problem on this slab though. hmmm..... classic BH bouldering case here.

Comments: Almost all the variations have been done on this block unless SDS. This was actually the first block I ever climbed on in Blue Mounds with a Group. Most the stuff on the hillside by this block were done the same time. The Prow was one of the first lines shown to me. This block was for sure bouldered out by 2009/10. The tree that someone decided to cut down in a way caught you if you fell. It was a squeeze and I remember someone downclimbing that way. The FA and " Original" names I was told were ... more >>

Comments: Great straight forward line that looks easier than is. Endurance and fighting the pump is the hardest part. Have yet to link it up. Great problem for the area!
