Comments: Awesome, simply awesome. No need for doubles. First two pitches link fine with a single 60. Really cool, just heady enough to be exhilarating but not terrifying. Mantles!!!

Comments: This is one of the better climbs in the area but not an 5.11a this has always been considered a 10c which still seems steep compared to other areas. Two different starts to this climb left or right up the arete. I prefer the left for the cool heel hook move. A good lead but a couple spots are sketch fall areas along the arete. Enjoy!

Comments: My first climb in Eldo. I thought this was a great climb! Definitely sustained. A little easier than it looked but good fun sustained crack. And the approach ain't that bad compared to other areas I've been to. Look forward to many more climbs in Eldo.

I apologize for the "drug habit" and I appreciate your view that some info should be omitted to keep "bitchy "climbers out of the Platte before it gets too populated. I feel the same way but, sometimes we have to ask ourselves which is better in a guide, wrong info or no info. There is no doubt in my mind that Peter has much more knowledge of the Platte and I don't dispute the fact that a guideboo... more >>

Comments: Well, I think chiping sucks in all its forms, but, having lived in bend and seen the amount of glue reinforcing, I have to say that this is standard on all hard routes. Drilling pockets is bullshit, but the reinforcing of holds already there is ok. As for aid climbing, Brent rips it up so all you slack a... sport climbers can go climb a tasty little 30 foot 5.13, and we can go where you never will..
