Comments: Nice work Lee! We saw the chalk on this over the weekend and were guessing you'd been on it. It was cool to at least get an idea of how it went from the tick marks. Not so straight forward as one might think from the ground. Is that seem to the left next? Looks less painful at least.

Comments: Climbed the first pitch recently. It's good thought provoking and fun all the pro was good and we replaced decades of tat on the anchor with something nicer. Pitch 2 had one newer and one old bolt on it and looked to be in fine shape.

Comments: Sure is reachy. If I remember correctly there is a cheater stone at the left side of the large ledge I've used to clip the the bolt. I would have placed it back there. Or maybe bring a short stick clip. That's just clipping the bolt. Nice position on top of the stack though when you top out.

Comments: Cool Eli I'm glad you had fun! It sounds like your beta, climbing out of the roof rather than pulling straight over it may have been the cause of any bolt antics though. Also with proper extension we've never had any appreciable rope drag when leading and have not had to back clean. Photo #5 shows Nick at the stance we clip said bolt from. If you on-sighted this well done and your beta certainly worked. I'm hearing it feels hard for 10+ ;)

A note to anyone getting on this (or a... more >>

Comments: Hi all, after careful consideration the other day we added bolts to a couple of routes up here.

Dickey's Notch now has a bolt protecting the last moves out of the corner making for a nicer and smoother finish. We added two to Ride the Turtle, one to replace the piton and another at the crux doing away with a difficult blind placement. Also did anchors on Ride the Turtle and Puppies and Knapsacks/Apples and Regalia to lower off from.

Might do more later, please come and check it out :)

Comments: The bolt anchor shared by this and other routes in the area looks pretty bad. Deep pitting in the steel that you can see and one side half buried by moss. I had gear in just below so I lowered and it held, my second walked off after cleaning. I said it was his choice, just saying.

Comments: Hey Matt, I saw those. Is this a new line? It looked to me as if the bolts on this route were replaced with shiny new stainless models..?
