Comments: I've found that the most direct and most brush-free path to the route can be found by walking to the west end of the railing along the Provo River Trail and then staying relatively close to the stream as you ascend South. You'd think more brush near the stream, but the stream bank provides some escape from the slide alder and other crap.

Comments: How hard are the first two pitches, when they form? I have often looked at this line and wondered.

Comments: There are one or two pitches above this . . . what are they? Beta anyone?

By the way, this is a fun route. Not loose and only a few pebbles on the ledges. The star ratings hide a good climb.

Comments: Did the first six pitches this afternoon (12:30-3:15PM). At the top of the third pitch go left and then straight up a small meadow to two awkwardly high bolts that make up the anchor for the 4th pitch.

I heartily recommend every pitch except the 4th which, though short, is moss covered choss. The fourth and fifth are probably the hardest at 5.8 and 5.9, respectively. From the top of the sixth pitch the walk off is long, involving a significant northward traverse and climb to reach the ridge a... more >>

Comments: Definitely a little loose on the bottom half, but the crux (at least for my climbing partner and I) on the face above was clean. Worth doing.

Comments: Great route! I loved the big dynamic moves. They were so good that this route literally took 5 minutes, up and down.

Comments: The crux for me was the move right before clipping the chains. Its a stretch to a hold above and to the left and a crimper on the right.

Comments: The left side (and the right side to probably) can easily be top-roped by walking around the left side and slinging a tree.

Fun area. We hit it up after work and did laps on it until 730 using headlamps.

Comments: Awesome route. It is much cleaner than its reputation tells. Probably due to traffic over time. This wall has so many long moderate climbs that it is a real blast. Just don't climb it with some one beneath you, as there is a little 'cleaning' still on going.

Comments: I am seconding the sentiment that the first pitch is junk. I lead it and considered it a character-building experience. My partner pulled a larger-than-bowling ball sized block off which nailed him in the leg. . .

The second pitch does truly rock though.

Comments: Is the line to the left of #2 the one Tristan said he ripped the hangers off of? Because as of yesterday there are still hangers there. . .
