Comments: Oh yes, I do miss federal pell grants, now that school is over. no more 100 dollar bills floating around. The beer back comes and goes, and am always up for a jack-ness influenced free solo, I don't know about the DLFA inspired, I don't think I knew who that certain organization was back then. Yes the memories.

Comments: I remember that old peice of rebar. I remember being upset that it got yanked out because I always used that as part of my anchor. It got pulled pre 2003. Thats all the more detail I can give.

Comments: Really great route, I did it in 2002. My guide book called it 5.8. It's rated 5.10 now. Real great warm up for Steck, Salathe on Sentinel.

Comments: Excellent route, I would listen to Jay beta's beta for gear and anyone could lead this. From what I remember congrats is much more of a crack climb, and there are many more face holds on cheeta.

Comments: Mars was a great route all around. It contains a wide variety of climbing disciplines. The first slab was nerve racking to a airy traverse. The 3rd pitch was aesthetically beautiful as well as one of my favorite cracks. Bomber hand jams, to fist to chimney, stellar at the least. If you plan on rapping the route, bring two ropes. You can rap big corner with one rope no problem. The anchors for the second rap are at the very end of a 60 meter rope. They are hidden below a bulge and you will not s... more >>

Comments: I have climbed at the lake a lot and thought I ticked all the 5.10 leadable routes, What and where is dead tree crack and where is tardis? Are these the correct names? Help me James or Jay did I ever climb this route.

Comments: The top hand crack was like putting yourself on belay with each and every jam. This is the perfect warm up climb for the harder routes on the prow.

Comments: Really fun line, bomber finger locks the whole way. the feet were tricky. Dave my partner for the day insisted that it was a 5.9, and he could not get it at all. I told him it looked harder than 5.9 because he could not pull it and the grade is well within his range. I got on it and it was no 5.9. The business was short, but sustained. If it was any longer the grade may be a little harder like 11a.
