Comments: So true. This is an unheralded spot on the prairie deserving more praise than it receives. It could be the best bouldering in Kansas!

Comments: Is the Holladay-Hatfield Traverse still here? It's the 3 or was it 4 bolt 5.5 across the notch from Sticked Wiffy. It started with some smearing and bear-hugs, then left above bushes ending at a small ledge. You can see the start behind Tom in the photo of Sticked Wiffy.

Comments: When Richard Ludwig, Tim Wilhelmi and I TR'd this in the late 80's we called the line from sand to anchors Dream Theme. We messed around with all the variations araound it and it was Tim who first unlocked the sequence. I don't think we ever thought we were climbing a 5.12 rout, however...But it's a total pump, that's for sure!

Comments: I solo aided the second ascent and found a crumbling "bong bong" 25 feet up. It was so corroded, I easily removed it by hand. This route will go free.

Comments: This first part involved a hook move, some stacked LA's and KB's, then for the traverse to reach the crack proper, I hand-placed SS bolts into holes...scary! Once at the crack it was sweet KB's and then stoppers. A great route. I hope someone has put proper bolts in for that traverse?

Comments: Yes, there are some interesting routes. Check out the hard free route potential of Iridescent Hummingbird, Shark's Fin and other old aid routes which surmount Khumbu's Cove. It's actually quite amazing these lines have not been freed yet. Enjoy! (Route names stay the same with FFA credit given.)
