Comments: A few hundred feet is right: if anyone happens to venture this far south along the base, please leave my tatty fixed line in place as I'm working on some routes here. Thanks.

Comments: Oh yeah, those are some good moves on this part of the outcrop. . . I think I see the spot where the big block at the base used to be . . . I'd climbed on it/past it a few times and then one day I touched it and it cut loose. Appreciate the pictures!

Comments: Nice shot. Always wanted to climb that tree in the background and get some fotografs of the outcrop from that perspective . . . I was so stoked when the ferns parted and I 1st saw it.

Comments: Yeah, those are the holds out left on the orange face where I recall seeing a similarly-colored spider . . . short, but good.

Comments: If splitter means cracks, IDK - But, the superb mausoleum in the cemetery is the secret architectural granite gambit in city limits. It's, in my mind at least, the best climbing in town with its arêtes, pinches, edges and moulding, all the way up to the frieze or cornice!
Last time I was there, I was so sad because the nice big trees had been cut down; they used to add an element of cover for our delicately-timed buildering sessions...

Comments: Has anyone TR'd the steep face seen here? It's above and between the two routes on this face. I recall it looked too difficult for us to attempt...

Comments: Looking at Great White's anchor ledge, just a bit below me and right, I'm reminded when Tim and Rich swung me in maniacally, enabling me to hook a pocket and drill the anchor. A second pitch here should go to the top and would complement the Swiss cheese below.

Comments: One can barely make out the crack high on the cliff with water seeping into the top part of it . . .

Comments: Now if I recall correctly, this was the TR/bolted line Doug was working on with Tim and Rich. They ran out of bolts or money or something and ended it early,
The difficult .11d / .12+ finish ought to be bolted.

Comments: One of you regulars ought to measure the correct dimensions of a log that would fit here again; then, from the rim lower that new log and fit it securely into place.

This would restore this route in all its glory, to its former historic context. Get rid of the pendu-fixed line contrivance!

Comments: I think when we did this years ago, it was called the Ahwahnee Buttress, and while we took it to the top, it involved lots of gardening to get pro in as well as jams.

The "F.A.'s" must've cleaned the thing up extensively, cause it sure looks like a lot different since I was last on it...

Comments: The dihedral with the bush up to the ledge with two trees, and then the two faces above, will make for an adventurous multi-pitch outing.
