Location: WY : Vedauwoo : Jurassic Park : Flake-O-Saurus (5.10c) By: Mark Calder When: Aug 12, 2008 | view comment >> | Comments: If you are thinking of a toprope as well, Kate and I used a very long cordalette to sling a huge boulder on the left and chucked in a cam or two for backup. Set a directional in the top of the arching crack to compensate for the off-center anchor.
I loved the overhanging crack. I was feeling very powerful until the delicate slab moves tricked me into several falls. That top-out would make this a very brave lead in my book.

Location: WY : Vedauwoo : Jurassic Park : Slot-A-Saurus aka Anatomy L... (5.9+) By: Mark Calder When: Aug 12, 2008 | view comment >> | Comments: Huzzah for that final #0 or #00 in the top of the offwidth flaring chute! It makes exiting the chute a fun move instead of a pants soiling endeavor.
It took me a long time to puzzle out how to enter the offwidth flare. The final top-out was a bit strenuous, but it was on excellent hand jams. It's a smorgasboard of crack climbing with each size of crack nicely divided into its own section.
