Comments: I did this route on toprope a few years ago and always wanted to go back to lead it. It is probably much more exciting now, however, without the bolts and probably a little outside my comfort zone.

While I support leaving routes in the state the first accessionist left them, I am interested in your thoughts about the following:

According to my sources, the first ascent was done with a fixed pin which was later replaced by a bolt. This bolt was recently chopped. (Forget the other bolts.)... more >>

Comments: The route description doesn't agree with my recollection of this climb. I believe the climb goes to the right of the bolt line, directly over the first roof. It is significantly harder this way, I believe its 5.11 rating is correct. Climbed as described, it seems more an alternative finish to Barn Dance and definitely no harder than 5.9.

Comments: I believe this is a photo of someone on Barn Dance. My recollection is that Roof Burner goes straight up over the roof, not off to the side.
