Comments: @Andrew G - thanks for the feedback, I changed the description to "right facing". Must dyslexic be I. If I recall, the loose flakes were still pretty solidly wedged in the crack system so they might be there for quite some time. I think they are OK as long as you aren't counting on using pro behind them.

Comments: If it's been raining recently, the top seeps water into the crack and you can't see it from below. Great climb.

Comments: Plates that you haul on above the roof are SCARY thin, but seem to be solid. Fun route!

Comments: In the description, the block that moves on top of P4 is now gone. This block fell in 2009 (see Micah's post above) and left a larger ledge, although I felt there wasn't a great spot to build a belay there.

The ledge above the traverse where the 'fridge-sized block USED to be.

Comments: From a statistical point of view, I think I've hit around 70% of the climbable walls in Eldo, so it is POSSIBLE that there is some big chunk of granite hidden somewhere deep within the West Ridge... by ALIENS!!

Comments: I second Tony's comment to TAPE UP! I don't usually tape in Eldo, but I would if I were to do this climb again. The inside of this crack is very rough. It was a fun climb and easy to TR from the Friends in High Places anchors.

Comments: Super fun route. Take smaller cams, I don't think I placed more than a #2 Camalot on the route and wished that I had a few more finger sized cams for cracks between plates. I think I got suckered right where Ivan did, because I believe I missed the second crux, too. Still stellar and great as one pitch to the eyebolt. Worth repeating to clip a long draw at the bolt under the roof.

Comments: Hi Jerry, I found your rappel anchor in Nov 2008 and cleaned it up. The descent from the top is kind of a hairy scramble.

Comments: Spent two days climbing in Acadia on my vacation and this was by far the best climb here. We just TR'd lines at Otter, but it was fun and scenic and this route was the cherry on top. Great movement, just wish it was twice as long!

Comments: Small cams work best in the crack, I placed two of the smaller Master Cams (TCUs would work, too) in the crack and they were bomber. No need for bolts down low, the rest of the climb is bolted safely.

Comments: I thought that this climb was awkward also. The moves that made it close to 10a were not even in line with the bolts and I felt like I was off route half the time. Probably will not repeat this climb again.
