Comments: It's been years since I've been out there. This was my son's first sport lead at age 12 and a good friend of mine's first lead as well. I felt it was 5.6ish back then, but perhaps some stuff came off.

Comments: I am probably guilty of being a hard nosed purist like Arjun refers to. My feeling is that there are many options for safely bolted or otherwise protectable routes in the area already. This route has previously been lead in better style and should be restored to that state....bolts removed and holes patched appropriately.

Comments: Exactly, Arjun! We originally wanted to go up that weakness too, but I am not nearly as ballsy (sp?) as you and opted for the better looking rock to the left!

Comments: Hi Tim. While I've only done the drive in my truck, I think it is fairly passenger car friendly (I've not even come close to using 4WD). It is just a long, but very pretty, drive. There is a trail gently uphill then down into LDE that drops you a little north of the Coop. It hasn't seen much traffic yet, so it is not well worn.
Also, I haven't been on the road or the trail since the recent rain and snow.

Comments: I think you did an FA Arjun! Catalyst starts in the right facing corner a bit left of this (to the left of your ropes, on much better rock!). I'll update the route to be a bit more descriptive.
