Lichen head. Me, with my usual weatherbeaten, lichen covered look from scrubbing a new route.

More of Gorilla Head, left of the orange patch. I was getting nearly blinded by the blasting sun, so it was hard to get a good shot.

Arete maybe 500 ft north of the main Gorilla Head wall. I believe this is the arete Chris Buckley and crew climbed (trad) at ~5.9. There is a less than vertical wall covered with really nice holds just around the arete, but it looked sparse for gear unless you stayed in the two gully cracks. The face looked really nice for solo routes if you are into that kind of thing. Otherwise they would need a ton of bolts to adequately protect them, probably not worth while or appropriate.

Gorilla Head - This is off the SE buttress of East Osceola, just outside of the Greeley Ponds Scenic Area at 44.00047, -71.51180. It is best approached from Waterville Valley via the Greeley Ponds trail, then turning up left on the Timber Camp Trail. Once you get up closer, you have to bushwhack across the small Greeley Brook and up to the crag. The bushwhacking is pretty thick at times. Figure close to a couple hours to hike in from the parking.
