Originally from VA, started climbing in 2004 in NYC- Gunks territory- when I took a 4 day course with AMC. I'm familiar with self rescue (though do need to read up on it again), took a wilderness first aid course, which only means I carry a splint and know not to use tourniquets.

I took 2 years off from climbing and started again 3 years ago, also leading easy stuff at that time. I was just hitting 8s at the gunks when I packed it in and headed to Boulder. I'm down grading myself to 5.7 in Eldo- though I have yet to lead one (I've just moved to Boulder Sept 2010).

I'm getting the hang of cracks(easy ones) but if anyone has any tricks on how to keep the feets from hurting, please let me know. Off-widths are mean and seem to creep up on you here, so I realize I need to work on them a bit. Chimney's scare the crap out of me.

Ice- 2.5 years (if I was to include first time out at the Ouray Ice Festival but no other climbing that year). Had an excellent 1st season in the Dacks, but last year the ice wasn't as cooperative- started leading though. I'm fine on WI3 but want to work up to 4s and would love to follow some sweet 5s. I've done multi-pitch ice but with a max of 3 pitches since it was out east, and always with tree anchors.

I really don't like approaches but my attitude is slowly changing considering most everything I want to do in CO has approaches so I'm working on it.

The biggest thing I've done is the east face of Spearhead, but we bivied and the descent sucked. I would like to do more climbing in RMNP next season.

This seems rather long, but just about everyone I've met in Boulder has asked about an MP profile, so now it's done.

P.S. I am not hard core. I just like to climb and have fun.
