As I awoke from my bivy I overheard Lee emptying his soul to his rope. "Honey, Tracy's rope means nothing to me. I was only using her." He curtails her tears as he continues to explain, "I mean it sweet baby dirty rope. You're the only one for me." She smiles. Lee smiles. He offers her some camp coffee and a hug. I like to call this piece of sweetness, Romancing The Rope. Who says climbers can't find true love.

Here we have a series of photos depicting just how dangerous the Rock Frog of Colorado National Monument can be. He lures unsuspecting climbers in with views of wondrous towers and desert vistas. He camouflages himself well with his surroundings as he stalks his prey unnoticed. Just when the climber spies a line that he/she fancies. . .CHOMP!!! There is no escape. BEWARE! BEWARE!!! It could happen to you.

Rest days make me crabby. Jelly Belly's make me happy. Photo taken somewhere along the Olympic Peninsula. If this crab looks a little deformed to you, it's because it is a crab of many crabs. I think we messed up on his legs a little while putting him together. No crabs were harmed in the making of this crab. They were aleady dead. :-)
