Comments: I think this route is the best on the Sunnyside slab - more interesting moves and well protected at the crux. The other three routes always make me wonder did I missed something...

Comments: I like both pitches - I think the lower pitch is much more interesting than the other 10 on the Sunnyside slab. The second pitch is great! Plus awesome view at the top and at the belay ledge as bonus.
John, thank you for telling me about this route and did it with me. I used to think it only matters if the routes are good. I am started to think maybe it also matters who I did the route with.

Comments: What do you mean by "but then they seem to like everything"? Are you implying they/we don't have exceptionally "good taste" for routes???!!! In my case - please read my comment again. Or, I repeat -- I am such a diva I only climb routes recommended by specific people who eliminated the-not-so-good-routes for me so of course I like the good routes that I climbed. As for the routes I have not climbed, can't say I like them... Hahaha!

Comments: Seeing people hiked a route with style always makes me want to climb that route and see if I can copy or learn something from them. I have to admit that I am very weak with small holds and big/dynamic moves. But seeing how it was done today, by Josie, really inspired me to work on those weakness of mine.
Thank you for bolting and fixing this route.

Comments: There are two people (ah...three, oh no, four... um I think there's a fifth....) whom I really trust for good route recommendations. No exception for this one, which has small, medium, large, positive and not-so-positive holds..... and a section of the only type of crack I can use!
I read the earlier comments again and I am guilty of using some of the holds on the arete... but I guess it was okay because I used the holds on the face too....

Location: AZ : Mount Lemmon : Forgotten Wall, Control Tow... : Skybox (5.11) By: lamina When: Feb 3, 2008 | view comment >> |
Comments: The holds between the 2nd and 3rd bolt of Skybox was soaking wet yesterday (Feb 2) afternoon. The rest of the climb was dry. The water seemed to be coming from behind the rock - the rest of the wall was dry and the climb was in the sun. The other routes I climbed (#8 & #9 on pdf topo) were dry and the routes I looked at (#2 - #14) seemed to be dry too.
this is an interesting climb with interesting moves.
