Comments: It's not problem, it doesn't hurt to try to approach from the south, just be prepared to head to the north approach if anything is fishy.
There was a gate on the south side for a while, last I heard though someone had run it over.

Comments: Just a heads up, someone chopped down the rosebush, as of 11/15/08, but now the 'small trickle' of water to the right of the route has grown and the crux is pretty wet and slimy.

Comments: Just an FYI there are definite access issues when approaching from the south side of the rocks.
Watch out for the screaming old guy and obey the 'no trespassing' signs unless you want your tires slashed.
It might be worth your while to just take the longer hike up the Iller Creek drainage on the north side of the hill.

From I-90:

Comments: In agreeance with Kyber, don't even bother looking in the port-a-potties, they are horrible. They've been like that EVERY time I've been out there, sh*t stacked above the seats, no paper and the doors (Which face the parking lot) don't even close.
