Location: CA : Yosemite National Park : Tuolumne Meadows : Razor Back : Slasher (5.9) By: Kurt Jensen When: Jul 18, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: I recently climbed at Razorback twice, and the climbing is great! Led all 3 pitches of Flash of the Blade as well as this one. However, the 3rd pitch of Slasher felt harder than the first pitch of Metalhead, with a thin and awkward crux that 1 partner bailed on, I succeeded and felt it to be 10D, with spicy sloping mantles and minor runouts above...and a 3rd in our group fell 4x at the crux. All great pitches, but I'd call P2 9 or 10a, and P3 10D? P2 is very fun, and P3 is great too, but sign... more >>

Location: CA : Yosemite National Park : Yosemite Valley : Parkline Slab : Color Me Gone (P1) (5.8) By: Kurt Jensen When: Apr 24, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: There is an unknown freshly bolted 5.7 face leading to bolted rap anchor below the start of the crack that makes a good approach pitch. Also, you can rap off the pinnacle with a 70m rope and then use the lower pitch's anchor to rap to the ground.

I couldn't see any bolts when I left the 6th bolt, and would have been well into the R zone if I didn't have a purple .5 C4 or equiv. when I found the brief bomber spot for it. Above that, I didn't have his recommended gear for the end of the pitch, and hadn't seen his tips (even though I'd just met him)...which made for some R excitement with no pro above last bolt. Follow wise Je... more >>

Location: CA : Yosemite National Park : Yosemite Valley : Parkline Slab : Machine Gun Jubblies (5.8) By: Kurt Jensen When: Mar 6, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: counted I think 13 bolts to the anchors out left that you can rap and TR or lead Bring in the Fembot's, to climber's left. Both really fun long pitches.

Quite a show...
