Comments: I met john in Bishop in early 2000. He was with his son @ the Happy Boulders, the Hulk Boulder, doin laps on "The Hulk" solid V6. His crash pad was a towel, and his son Tyrus was lounging all over it. I mentioned to Tyrus he may want to keep his head up in case his Dad takes a whipper. He looked up @ me quite seriously, "My Dad don't fall!" I laughed and looked up @ John topping out and he laughed saying something like "we all fall sometimes son." Comments: SSSHHHHHH. This crag is quite good. Bolted routes that are still spicey. For me at least. Good trad line, Bobs Crack. The 10.c felt more like 11.c. 3 star. The left most route was excellent as well. Felt more like 12.a. If your in the area check it out. Also visit Cafe Dawn in Salida, nice hang.

Comments: This baby seemed pretty hard. I may have read it wrong. Really good though. Gear on the slab seem mandatory. A fall would be ugly. Seems harder that Runsholt Schrunch. sp. Both great routes for lower West Ridge. Add in Super Scoop. Old school 11.d in Eldo is awesome. Good day

Comments: I was there late spring, and clibed that arete and the arete to the right of that. Pulled off a big flake on said arete. Just sayin./ Great block, the other arete is just as good, a bit harder.
