Comments: One of the best cliffs I have been to in the Southern Adirondacks region. Another true Adirondack adventure. The appeal of this cliff starts with the longish approach (40-50min) off trail traveling, following flagging tape to this remote cliff. The cliff has a high concentration of 5.11 cracks ranging from fingers to hands, some short and stout and others are slightly overhanging endurance tests. Most routes have fixed anchors.

Comments: This is yet another excellent line at Pinnacle. As Jim says, one of the easier routes at the cliff. There are still a few loose flakes on the traverse before getting to the crack, between the first and second bolts.

Comments: This is a great line. With more traffic it should clean up nicely with more traffic. The route climbs an overhanging crack with plenty of face and footholds to keep the grade within the mid 5.11 range. At 2/3rds height there are many options. If you take the left traverse to the left most crack, be delicate with your feet (lots of friable flakes)and bring a brush to clean up the last 20feet to the top (the crack is really dirty).

Comments: This is a great route and has a good combination of hard crack climbing and slopper holds through the crux of the route. Do not stop at the three pin anchor, (webbing recently replaced 11/1/12). Instead, follow the obvious crack line to the top of the cliff for the full value of this slightly overhanging route. The protection is all there and is definitely a G-rated route. Protection can be found throughout the full length of this wonderful line.

Comments: A new private property sign was recently posted (5/12/12) at the inflow of the pond. This hand written, taped to a tree sign designates where the State Park ends and where the private property begins.

Comments: The best hand crack line in CT, with actual hand jamming through the crux of the route. This climb is a must for any CT crack lover.
