Comments: I had a chance to look at the book over the weekend. It is sooo sexy. Really I can't believe how much is in the first guidebook. Literally stood in the gear shop looked at it for a solid 45 minutes and didn't even break it cover to cover. So stoked to buy it.

Comments: Looking for the name of the climb that is past Black Velvet and between The Cooler. Climbed a route that had 2 bolts but took small gear in the crack between the bolts. Has one bolt at the top that you can lower off. Interesting climbing. Lots of lichen. Will clean up after more travel....

Comments: for what it's worth the 3rd pitch felt harder than 5.9. I don't know if it was the humidty and the grease factor of my hands literally sliding out of the crack.

Comments: Is this pic for real? Are you ice climbing or in a grudge match. Hey, is this the same guy that climbed the Fang a few years ago and at the roof placed a screw and then proceeded to swing his tools into the ice above and a dishwasher-size piece was let loose. Oh, and did you hang (aid) on your ice tools all the way up it?

Comments: You know I was born and raised in Colorado Springs and to give off the vibe that it shouldn't be told or talked about is kinda silly. And the accident that occurred there I believe was because the climber didn't have his crampons on when approaching from the top.... Ice climbing is inherently dangerous. I've taken head shots with the hammer numerous times from my tools as well as in my early years an adze to the forehead. Phil, you also speak of over crowding, get up early and beat the crowds... more >>
