Comments: Mantle required for those of us under 6' tall. Stay in the crack for a challenging, if short, crack climb.

Comments: I agree with Noah, this climb deserves a PG 13 rating for the, um, questionable rock quality. With enough traffic, this climb would clean up to something awesome. As it stands, the moss and loose rock are horrifying. A small nut or an orange mastercam protect the first moves. Protect the belayer from flying off the ledge. Also cleaned the webbing mentioned by Noah.

Comments: A top rope can also be set up on the bolts at the top of the groove to eliminate rope drag/abrasion. There is talk of bolting outside the groove to make this leadable.

Comments: Many laps up this over the summer have cleaned up most of the nasty lichen and moss creating a pretty fun little climb. The top does take gear if you want to TR from the ledge at the base. There are plenty of gear anchor options at the top. Rap off Minor Groove bolts.

Location: AK : Fairbanks and Vicinity : Angel Creek Rocks : Main Rock : Access Route (5.5)

Comments: I personally think that Major Groove is more fun as an access route to the top of Main Rock. The 5.5 lieback could be a good way to get your head together for the ubiquitous lichen and moss found on most climbs here.

Comments: Not exactly a 5 star climb, but it does boast a fun squeeze. Make sure you have a few cams around 1" for the anchor, or traverse across a loose ledge, minding the precarious boulders and rocks, to the bolt anchor for "Bring your Dancing Shoes".
