Comments: My apologies Big Jim. I am aware that these boulders have probably been climbed into submission many times over. Although I haven't ever found any information regarding names or grades on any websites. I would rather have these problems with the original names and grades. Would you happen to have any of this information? I am aware that the safety rating is for trad climbing. I simply wanted other climbers to know that the landing zone is not the best and would most likely result in an injury. A... more >>

Comments: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I had an hour long conversation with a police officer today, about liability and how it only takes a few sue happy people to ruin it for everyone. long story short, I would not climb at this place unless you want to pay a $200 ticket.....I am going to take it to the city...

Comments: yeah there are a few places, jim falls not so much. There is a place in eau claire at mt. simon park called the top of the world that has an anchor. There are a lot of bluffs around eau claire not for climbing but alot of possibilities for rappeling.

Comments: No, it is actually starts off on the lower half of the big ramp and follow the ramp up from left to right using nothing above the ramp. once you reach the point at the top of the ramp make big move to the ledge. I know the problem you are talking about and that is in the v1 range possibly a v2. When are you going down there again?

Comments: Yes, unfortunately those are the only boulders at big falls. There are still some open projects down there. Did you think that the grade on snuckles was correct? I have been trying to develop some harder problems in the area. I would say Jim Falls is much much better. Just because there are many more boulders. Anytime you would like to go out and boulder just send me a message, I am out at big falls maybe 2-3 times a week.

Comments: Actually my camera is on the fritz right now. I do apologize for the lack of photos, I am trying to get everything in its place. Plus waiting for a little warmer weather. My last camera fell victim to the icy cold depths of the Chippewa river. The problems vary from very short probably 10 ft up to probably 30 ft a lot of good holds they do vary quite a bit from incuts to crimps, slopers, etc... Anytime anyone would like me to show them around send me a message.
