Comments: So much fun! The crux for me was after my feet had to leave the small horizontal crack/ledge. It was pulling on sharp crimps and smearing feet from there. I found that a little flexibility makes this route very doable!

Comments: Just had the same thing happen to me! Wish I could say the route was worth the loss of the rope... but no, not really.

Comments: Pure, good fun! Similar climbing as Gouda, only a little shorter. Also a good route to do to get out of the sun/wind.

Comments: So much fun--classic desert tower climb! The views are incredible the whole way up and down. I would definitely recommend bringing a short tag line if you are hauling a pack up there because there is chimney/OW climbing for most of the first 4 pitches. Definitely save some energy for the final half of the second pitch! Oh, and about that jump...mega ouch on the feet! Although I can't be on my feet for 2 weeks, I still do not regret it...Bring some soft cushy descent shoes and you might have bett... more >>

Comments: Fun climb close to home. We left Fort Collins around 4:00 pm and were able to hike up and climb these pitches with daylight to spare. Didn't see a great sling placement on the first pitch, but was well protected with a #2 Metolius. Pitch 2 has a more bouldery start and ends with an exciting traverse (great jugs along the way). Awesome view of Horsetooth and FC from the top! Still some loose rock, so wear a helmet :-).

Comments: One of the few multi-pitch climbs at The Palace...I give it 3 stars. Pretty easy climbing for the first half of pitch 1, then the crux for me came at the small roof near the top. I made it to the roof by climbing to the right and traversing under it left. Not sure if that's the way it's supposed to be done, but there were some good underclings/side pulls, and it offered great exposure.

Pitch 2 was something completely different. Very thin and balancy, quite the opposite of the first pitch. The... more >>

Comments: Fun! My first 5.12 (TR). My fingers are still throbbing, so I'll make this short. I took a slight variation from the sloping sidepull and instead found an awesome crimper a foot away, directly left of that hold.

Comments: Super fun climb! Watch out for the loose boulder just before getting to the anchors on the last (6th) pitch. I almost pulled it right onto myself when pulling the last small roof. Other than that. this is an awesome route that utilizes laybacks, big roof moves, stemming, and ends with a crimpy, exposed, face climb.
