Comments: Brian- added the sit start to this problem over the weekend. Right hand low on the right side of the arete in the sidepull/pocket, left hand squeezing the arete. Climbs straight up to the sloping finish at the top. Difficult to grade as the sit start is very tricky, maybe V6/7ish. I will make sure to include this problem in the upcoming Adirondack Bouldering guidebook! Nice find.

Comments: i have been informed that all of the fixed hardware has been removed from this area due to restricted access, etc. The only previously equipped routes that still have fixed hardware are "Black Arete" and "The Juicer".

Comments: I have just been informed that all of the fixed hardware has been removed from the cliffs that are on private property. The only previosuly bolted routes that still have hardware to my knowledge are "The Juicer" and "Black Arete". This was a result of continued conflicts with the new owner and the lack of accessibility.

Comments: I am trying to plan a long weekend to boulder in Pawtuckaway. I recently bought the New England bouldering guidebook to help navigate the area but does anyone have any good beta on where to stay? I have heard that if you stay in the park campground you aren't all that close to the boulders, is this true? Any other recommendations? Closest grocery store? Beverage centers? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Comments: not sure that "Sketches of Pain" has been sent since the starting hold broke off a couple of years ago. Quite a shame, the boulder problem was really good.

Comments: Anyone have any detailed information on the bouldering in the park and the surrounding areas? I am trying to plan a week long trip up there and want to maximize our time/trip to see the best the area has to offer. Thanks in advance!

Comments: Ha ha...that's what you get when you have a boulderer trying to rate sport climbs! The climbs are well protected, but I have seen people stick clip the 2nd bolt on a bunch of the routes in fear of ground falls (although I personally have not seen a ground fall at this crag). I guess thr routes could be updated to "G"...need some more climbers opinions out there for sure...
