Comments: maybe it is 12b. comparing this climb to disfigured foreigner, gettin off the porch, guardian's edge, and the wizard--all of which are 12a--i think this climb is significantly harder than all of them.

Comments: yeah, you gotta be careful with the protection here. sometimes it can just slide right out and leave you completely exposed. the sensation can really build up as you reach the climactic peak, and then you have to be prepared for things to explode into a serious mess.

Comments: i don't understand why this climb is so popular. the gear isn't great and the climbing is blocky and ledgy and like people have said, some of the flakes are flexing. i can understand 3 stars (i guess), but 4? is this a collective effort by the tucson climbing community to keep out-of-towners away and the crowds small? i can see it now; people from boulder getting on this climb and saying, "seriously? this is a tucson classic? all the non-classics must suck."

this climb is just pure fun. i'm thinking of calling it "Be Gentle" since it requires some delicate footwork, plus it's the climb i lost my virginity on, so to speak. what do you guys think?

Comments: there's still plenty of loose stuff on this one, but once that is gone this climb will almost certainly be a 4-star classic. it's got everything a trad climber could want at the grade.

Comments: this is a fun little climb that should be a great warmup once it cleans up a bit. when i followed the FA there were literally PILES of bird crap a small ledge about 2/3 of the way up.
the all-air rap into the corridor is a nice touch.
