Comments: Or to lead, bring a set of wires, and cams to a #1 camalot. Save the .75 for the top, as you don't really need it before then. Make sure to get your hand sequence right down low and a bomber nut, otherwise into the tree for you! Up high near the topout two ways to finish, the offwith crack direct, or by using "the secret hold" (not going to tell you where if you don't already know) which makes the finish a bit easier.
One of my favorite leads at the Lake!

Comments: What a great route on the Strip. It is a very interesting onsite lead. A must for a "new to the area" .9/.10 trad leader!

Comments: This climb is a "mini" version of Breaking away, just not as overhung and a bit easier to get in gear.

Comments: A great lead, especially if you finish by climbing up and over the viewing platform. It "protects" with a purple C3 between the doubled up 2X10 beam.

Comments: Birch trees grow out on an angle on cliffs like that. My guess has always been that their is more sunlight where no other trees can get in the way.

Comments: The games were a fun time in the gorge, the Japanese climbers won everything, and put up three new routes, they were bad ass. A good time for all who attended.
