Comments: Listen for the bats behind the flake on the 2nd pitch. They sure seemed ticked about me invading their space, but none flew out at me. It sure sounded like a lot, but I have no way to judge how many... was it 5 or 50 or 500?

Comments: This is showing up on the Petit page as a "Beta" photo. It's a nice picture, but I don't think you get much/any beta from it, as the two routes (as well as the rappel line) are on the opposite side.

Comments: Did this and continued on to the second pitch of Strange Cargo. I'm not sure that this was the best idea, as there was lots of rope drag.

Comments: Thanks to Richard and Colleen for bolting and cleaning this route. I wish I'd read this before getting on it, as we only did the first two pitches. Now I see that the 3rd may be the best. I'll definitely have to go back to this again.

Comments: Knight, why is the new guidebook no good?

I'm heading there for my first trip, so I don't have any way to evaluate other than how it looks.

Comments: Is this the route to the left of Your Possible Pasts that has been bolted, or is that a completely new route that needs to be added to the database?

Comments: The NCCC Poudre Canyon Route Climbing Guide has a misleading picture on page 57. This route (#23) is actually on the arete to the left of where it is labeled in the photo. #24 runs roughly where #23 is pictured.

Comments: I'm really surprised to find here and in the NCCC guide that P1 is supposed to be 10a/b. I had just climbed Silver Girl (10c) and felt that was a good rating... I didn't have any trouble with it so I was pleased to see that P1 of TdP was supposed to also be good and well within my ability range. But hit one section of TdP, roughly in the middle where I began to doubt my route finding skills thinking "that's not what I call a 10a move". Then again just a few feet beyond the second to last bolt... more >>

Comments: A really fun route... but maybe my perspective was skewed by the adrenaline. Went up this w/o reading the info so didn't have any gear with me. Pretty scary at one point moving past the 3rd bolt since I wasn't quite sure which way to go at first (go right, BTW). I actually didn't find any of the moves very hard, just heady when I was run-out.

Comments: Here is a link to a Google Map of this area. Be sure to view it in "Satellite" mode. Zoom in and you'll notice that you can actually see the trail where it leaves the Lily Lake path.

I made the map editable. Please add pins to indicate new sections of JP that aren't identified in the bird's eye view found on MP.

Comments: We climbed this on Saturday of Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30). It was a perfect cool and sunny day. We were the first party on the route (started at 7:15) and only saw one other party on this route while we were on it. In contrast, the south face seemed to have a steady flow of traffic. If you feel up to the 5.9 crux, then I think this route would be the best option.

Comments: Yesterday I climbed the route to the left of SIT and the big flake growing out of the trail. It would be very nice if someone would post an official route description. I'm not sure what the etiquette is, but perhaps Scott should name it since he completed the bolting of it. I'll suggest "Left In Time", "Just In Time", "It's About Time" in keeping with the theme for OOT and SIT.

I think that a good hold must have busted off about 1/3 of the way up. There is a 10" white spot in a place that... more >>

Comments: Moving right into the crack makes the top section of the route easier... but kind of awkward to step left for clipping.

Climbed there the first week in November. This corner was in shade all day with some sun on this route and to its left. Perfect temperature for t-shirt and light jacket.

Comments: Fun times working out the balancy moves on the first section. Then a standing room ledge to shake out on before the easy climbing through the middle section so you can pull over the bulge at the top.

Three of us had lunch while working this route and Happy Nightmare Baby. Of course we had... tuna!
