Comments: Population in my town is booming. Low taxes and great amenities.

Comments: My buddy left a pair of greenish Scarpa Techno shoes near the base of Flight of the Gumbies at Butchers Branch today. Reward if found.

Comments: Welp, someone owes Jonathan Siegrist about 12' of chain. Now that the topout is a mantle, I'd say it's definitely crept into 5.12 territory.

Comments: For what it's worth, I'm relatively certain my buddies and I were climbing this line years ago, long before the closure. Maybe 2002 or so? FA is probably long before that - we definitely weren't the first.

Comments: I went up Andrology today and found it to be WAY harder than I remember it right between the 5th and 6th bolts - just where the hold broke. I would easily put it up with any 12b in Boulder Canyon. I'm 6'2" with a +2 reach and still had to high step up above my waist and lock off, then make a MAX extension reach to get to the good crimps above. Unless I missed something, this got a significantly harder... probably 2 letter grades, IMHO.

Comments: Will suit boulderers well. Stout moves off the ground - very big moves off great holds. Kind of tricky to pull the roof and get established on the face. Look for hidden crimps. Rain washes away all the chalk, so you'll be climbing blind after a good rain.

Cleaning is a pain - best bet is to have someone TR through the draws and clean on the way up.

Comments: Hands down, the best route at Middle Tier. Three dimensional climbing, spicy runouts, cool transitions as you work around the arete... this route has it all. Way better, IMHO, than Strange Science, Riptide, or Freefall.

Comments: Got on this last summer. Bailed at the top of P13 because we ran out of water (it was 90 degrees) and the rental car was due back at 5PM. Would love to get back and send this thing properly.

The crux for us (besides running out of water) was the approach. Leave ample time to find the start of the route.

Comments: Left a #8 Rock on the route yesterday after my partner took a 15 footer on it and welded it in place. Small wires are super helpful on this route. Lots of fun, just wish it was longer.

Comments: BE CAREFUL ON THIS ROUTE - Many (maybe all) of the hangers are loose and freely rotating around the bolts. One of the hangers is probably a solid 1/4" away from the rock. Don't go up there without a wrench to tighten them down - and please don't overtorque them either.
