| Personal/Favorite web site: http://I live in Elk Grove (near Sacramento). I workout a lot and keep myself in good shape. I can climb any day of the week because I’m retired. I’m really hooked on climbing. Been climbing for about 15 years and originally did mostly trad, now getting into sport climbing and really enjoy it. I have a 50/50 chance of getting a pumpy 11c sport climb on top rope after a few tries. I lead at the 10d sport and 10b/c trad onsight levels. So you can see where I am. I climb at least twice a week and usually go to Sugarloaf, Lover’s Leap, Tahoe areas, Calaveras or Yosemite in the summer or Sugarloaf, Merced River Cyn, Auburn Quarry or Table Mountain in the winter. I go on a road trip about once a month to J tree, City of Rocks, Owens (My favorite place), Yosemite etc. I did a few big wall routes a few years back but haven’t been motivated to do any recently. I usually do a Sierra backcountry route each year like Clyde Minaret or routes on the Incredible Hulk etc. A few years back I climbed all the 14’ers in California, mostly mountaineering type ascents but I pretty much got out of that when I got into rock climbing. I am serious about climbing and not just a casual climber although I believe climbing should be fun and we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously. I am not a partier. Climbing is a big part of my life. If any of this makes since to you, please respond to johnr9q@yahoo.com.
