Comments: tried this route but didn't get very far. Got into the crack but would have liked to have something bigger than the bd now I have a reason to get the wild country. You can down climb most of it but instead of down climbing the whole thing i went east up the ramp to the tree that now has some of my webbing and rapped off. Deffintly will come bag for another try!!

Comments: Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by bongeater.
One day I will send this clean but at least I made it to the top. LOVES IT

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Big Cottonwood Canyon : Mule Hollow Wall : Jam Crack Route (5.6) By: john gilchrist When: Jul 9, 2006 | view comment >> |
Comments: I would suggest climbing past the first set of anchors and assend to the anchors that have chains and a nicer area to belay from not to far from the first set. Pull the overhangy mess becuase it's their. Go straight up to the top, you will be able to see some chains 100 feet to the left and half way up that belong to another climb don't go for them like I did.

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Big Cottonwood Canyon : Mule Hollow Wall By: john gilchrist When: Jul 9, 2006 | view comment >> |
Comments: Once you get to the approach that leads up to the wall from the main trail it gets pretty steep for a while. When you hit the wall just skirt accross it to get to the climb you want. Climbs around Jam Crack require a little bit of a scram, not bad though.
fun climbs with no walk off.

Comments: Reservoir Ridge is a great place to take the new climber to teach them everything they need to know. There are some Chains on War Clamor that are 15 feet off the ground where you can teach a new climber how to clean and rap while being able to watch and instruct with out having to yell. Allso some good routes to in storm to take a new sport leader.

Comments: As of June 19 a new Tyrolean was put up with a foot rope...Very gurly looking by the way. I took down the foot rope but left the Tyrolean, not knowing what the community's view of the matter was. It looks that there should not be anything up at all to keep good standings with the officials; is this correct?
