Comments: Wasp Warning: If you use the left crack on the way over edge, there's a nice undercling at the top of that left-side crack. Don't use it! There's a wasp nest in there. Said wasp came out and bounced against my helmet a few times before settling down.

Comments: The bolts were replaced (big thanks to whoever did that!), and all is well. Just lead it today: fun climb.

Comments: Did a little trimming of the hike in: no more brambles to get caught on.

Comments: Clipped out most of the poison ivy in the dirt at the start today. There are probably plenty of roots still left, but at least there's no more leaves for ropes to drag through.

Comments: Tried the start of this today after Crackrock. We'd heard it was 5.11, but I'd definitely believe 5.12: really crimpy and single toe chips to balance on. Definitely want to give it another go. Looks interesting.

Comments: Also a warning: about 2/3 of the way up, there's a loose chunk that looks like it's commonly used as a jug. I chalked an X on it. It's maybe a couple of fists in size, but a section below it also wiggles when I pulled.

Comments: Just climbed this today (following a different leader). It's definitely fun. Thanks to whoever set it!

One question though: what can we do about the poison ivy at the start of the route (the patch of dirt on top of the large block)? It's exactly in the line of where the rope drops, and where loose rope feeds, and it requires doing the splits on the way down to avoid standing in it.

Comments: WARNING:

The bolts on wall (Rusty Oldtimer, Just Say Yes) have been smashed with a hammer, and will be very difficult, if not impossible to clip. The anchor bolts are usable via the screw links.

The bolts on the slab (One step forward, Pipe Dreams) are intact, but the anchor bolts have been smashed. I couldn't get a carabiner behind them when attempting to use them as a top-rope anchor.

Comments: Definitely needs to be cleared. There's a fair bit of poison ivy and brush around it currently. Looks very interesting, though.

Comments: A note for those interested in climbing this area in spring 2011: the owner of the property at the corner where the gravel road turns to an unimproved dirt road (where drivers of non-4wd vehicles would park) said that a mountain lion had attacked a horse and killed a neighbor's dog last week (mid-March 2011). They also had seen new tracks in their yard this past weekend.

We decided that to head elsewhere, instead of always looking over our shoulders for a hungry mountain lion.
