Wisconsin born and raised. Cultivated by the DLFA. Seasoned in the southwest....

I started climbing when I was fifteen years old, and I have been living in Northern Arizona for most of my adult life. The open lands we are surrounded by here are so varied and intriguing that I routinely feel blessed to call this place home.

With the help of friends I have managed to establish well over one hundred routes throughout NAZ over the last seventeen years, and countless boulder problems. And there's no reason to stop now...

Thanks to all the inspiring friends, and partners I have had throughout the last twentyfive years who have helped me stay on the track towards beauty and adventure. Here is to another twenty!

As far as being an Admin here on Mountain Project, all I am trying to do is help. When Northern Arizona started popping up on MP, I thought there should be some sort of local representation, because a lot of the original info was being posted by traveling climbers. Which is fine, I just wanted to be able to make appropriate changes to the information, and sort out the areas the way we know them. The way I see it, if it's going to be posted anyway, the information might as well be as accurate/good as it can be.

I also like getting folks psyched if I can, and I enjoy seeing people climb my routes.

These days, I am a firm believer that good public information helps spread climbers out, and alleviate overcrowding. People are going to climb where they know there are routes they can do. That said, there are certainly areas I don't think need to be on MP because of any number of variables which could directly impact access. The public face of climbing is changing quickly and dramatically, and there is no going back.

Moving towards the future, really, all I want to do here on Mountain Project is to keep the info straight as best I can (cause there is a ton of it!!), get others motivated to enhance the available local history, and to help locals and visitors alike, explore the rich diversity of climbing we are so blessed to have here in Northern Arizona.
