Comments: This pitch is incredible! Powerful moves through the roof and getting to the second bolt then it becomes very much about technique and footwork. Wonderful Eldo rock and climbing. Only bolts on the traverse, no tat or fixed copperheads, and it seemed very well protected. The bolts are perfectly placed. Look for a no hands rest at the second bolt just prior to initiating the balancy crux moves.

Comments: Pitch one can be protected well, but it takes some work and can get you pumped. I think the first pitch is one of the more sandbagged routes in Eldo, feels like 10c every time I lead it.

Comments: Hey, that's pretty cool! I was on D7. Chris and Bruce were working their new route that day. We talked to Chris on Broadway, so that is definitely them.

Comments: Oh Keen, is this really you? What were you thinking in those tights? Shouldn't they be pink or polka dot? Hey let's go get on D7 this weekend! I'll aid us through the crux pitch.

Comments: Adam, you guys missed the spicy but classic third pitch. After the 5.8 lieback pitch you traverse straight left then up passing a few pins and a bolt.

Comments: This is a fantastic climb, one of my favorite routes of all time. The final four pitches are spectacular. There are two difficult sections on the crux pitch. The first involves foot intensive slab work and the second is a very powerful pull into the dihedral. I think this last move is the hardest single move on the pitch.

Comments: Best to use the pin and stopper anchor atop the second pitch of Pear Buttress. This is a permanent anchor with chains to rap off of. One sixty meter rope will easily make it to the base of Toot. Using the Pear Buttress anchor will keep the ratty slings and tat to a minimum.
