Comments: Not since the Turd Boulder has Mt. Sandy Ass seen such steep, powerful bouldering. Actually quite a nice handful of problems to do on a sunny, cold winter's day (we were climbing in sweatshirts on a day with a high of 31 degrees).

Comments: Though not usually the case, the sit start made this problem only better! Matt Ray climbed the tricky sequence through the bottom section and toped out this beautiful highball! (Called it Bear Trap, maybe hard V7 or 8).

Comments: The sit start you mention is 'The Zoller Bulge', FA - Justin Jaeger. Maybe V8+ and really good.

Comments: UPDATE: went to the Freight Train this am before it got too hot, and it was perfect. Untrampled wildflowers at the base, no tick marks or spilt chalk. There weren't even any taxers there, spraying beta or collecting my hard earned $ to fund access roads, state parks, libraries, schools, or any other sort of public welfare.

Comments: Nice job, Mark. This makes the wall look really cool... and it makes me feel like I am on drugs.. which is what you need to be on in order to think this wall is cool.

Location: CO : Boulder : Flatirons : North : Upper Satellite Boulders : Yo, Adrian! (V5) By: JDro When: Mar 21, 2011 | view comment >> |
Comments: This problem is called Yo Adrian! (Notice the "Rocky" references.. before they were known as the Upper Satellites, we were calling these the Rocky Balboas.) PB's book got the info wrong on a few of these problems and neglected to list a lot. I did the FA and thought it was V6. I repeated it the other day and still stand by the 6 grade... hard 6. THAT'S WITHOUT USING THE BOULDER TO THE LEFT DURNG THE TOPOUT.

Comments: What's with all the denim? Are there knee-bars or off-widths on this traverse? If not then you are all letting Verve Pant Co. very disappointed!

Comments: Lookin' good up there, Roth! How hard do you think it would be if you just used the finger crack (for hands AND gear?). Also, do you think that bouldering more often would make for a stronger rope climber? Just a thought.
