Comments: Good little crag to have in the neighborhood. Decent face climbing on small, positive edges. If you visit the crag try to keep a low profile as the Powder House on top of the cliff is a historical landmark for the town. Town Hall is also right at the bottom of the hill. I have never been bothered here except by the occasional MTB rider bombing down the hill near the cliff.

Comments: The boulder accross the yellow trail from this boulder has two very nice problems on it. The arete is probably V2 stand or V3 sit. The ramp is probably V2 with bad fall potential.

Comments: Good problem if you avoid the face holds. Nice variety of finger locks to play with. If you avoid all face holds you could make it 5.8. Good quality rock and a very nice crack. Just too damn short!

Comments: 2nd roof is called Blow Up (5.9). Makes a great 2nd mini-pitch for any of the Main Face routes. Protects well.

Comments: People have been pulling on that "loose" block for decades. It creeped me out the first time it shifted on me. Seems wedged in there pretty good but I'm sure it will not last forever.

Comments: The lone bolt on Ladybug has seen better days and could probably stand to be replaced. Also one of the anchor bolts above the practice face has a bit of movement in it.

Comments: No problem. It's a fun little route. A tad more technical than the other nearby 8 I think.

Comments: 5.8-5.9 depending on who you talk too. I always thought it was more of an 8.

Comments: Sorry about that. This was meant to be added under Garfield Woods. I guess that is what I get for adding stuff at 2 AM from a smartphone. Can an admin move this to the Garfield Woods page or just delete it, and I will re-submit.

Comments: The creepy, creaky pin is still in there at the crux, Bill.... I would certainly 2nd your advice about backing it up.... Looks like it would not hold body weight.... Route was surprisingly dry the other day though... need to get back and scrub it a bit as the cracks were filling with dirt. This is a classic route which should see more traffic.

Comments: I was rapping down Watusi the other day and noticed a large loose looking block between Watusi and Birds of Fire. If you are leading Watusi, it may be tempting to place gear here, because the block is not as obvious from below, but it is about the size of a microwave and could be disastrous if it kicked off....

Comments: If you venture out here, be careful of a very large wasp nest at the base of the slab on a tree branch! As stated, the rock is perfect quality... too bad it's not bigger.

Comments: I have always finished via the Chimney. One of my favorite easy routes in MA. Fun moves with great gear the whole way. The Nose makes a fun finish as well.

Comments: Lead this today. Gear is totally G-rated and route is better than most of the shorter routes at Crow Hill IMHO (except for Tom's Dilemma, of course). The crux before the top-out is made much easier with a perfect crimp on the left.

Comments: Most of the crag is suprisingly dry given how wet crow hill is right now. The taller portion of the wall is bone dry, including the whole crack system.

Comments: Definitely the best route here when it comes in.... Rare as that may be. Upper pillar is great but spends a lot of time in the sun.

Comments: There is an easy (WI 2 ish) ice route that forms in the woods to the left of End Crags as well. When in fully, it goes for about 35 feet at a low angle and occasionally a bulge at the top. Easy but fun for beginners. Probably the only real WI route here. Certainly not a destination for ice climbing... but maybe there is more in town.... ; ).

Comments: There was a fairly significant rock fall here in the past week. Between the start of Watusi and Chimney there are several large blocks obstructing the path. It appears as the first 10-15 feet of Birds Of Fire have stripped right off the cliff.
