Comments: Jackie; back in 1999 the rap station was reset with Metolius Rap Bolts. What happened to them? They should be at the edge of the formation, where the "Flake" rt. meets the top. There might even be the very old - from 1968 - 1/4" bolt with bent hanger.
RSVP - Jay J

Comments: Skinner worked on this problem just a month after the Salathe route in Yosemite was freed(Sept 1989). He still had broken ribs from an accident upon that projects completion. Piana and Heidi Barcardaro also contributed to this Vedauwoo project.

Comments: FA by Jeb Schenck in the early 70's ; original name was; Friday's Folly - done on a Friday in Feb. - very cold and no feeling in fingeres. Jeb said it was the biggest folly he ever committed on a Friday!!

Comments: The name for the formation came from Prof. John Walker in the 60's; he took his Preacher climbing after services and upon looking down his first rappell - an overhanging one no less- the man of god uttered ; "Holy Sh*t - I mean Saturday!!"

Comments: Most of the Fall Wall and Clamshell boulder routes - especially in the 5.5 to 5.7 range, were FA by Jim Halfpenny in the mid-60's, and also several unknown 10th Mountainn Division vets of WW II. The 5.11 crack was originally an aid route and piton scars are the finger-tip holds.
