Comments: Cool shot! You can see the chimney pitch of Light in August in the upper right of the photo.

Comments: I think Anaconda-Da-Vita should be in the running for the best 12d at Rumney. It has it all--a technical start, heady climbing away from your bolt, an insecure clip, a hard crux, and pumpy steep climbing after.

Comments: Does anyone know what's up with those anchors between Sally's Alley and Black Dog Crack? They're up and right of the Sally's Alley anchors on a steep face right below the top. Thanks!

Comments: I climbed this route yesterday, and I think it's the best 5.10 in the Meadows. It should clean up to be a popular route...which is so much better than languishing in obscurity as a sketchy trad line.

Comments: I might be so bold as to call the Duet Direct crux pitch the best 5.10 pitch in New Hampshire.

Comments: Has that bolt been replaced yet? I remember that move being pretty scary over the old rusty bolt.

Comments: Yes, stand start with your left hand on the flat arete and right hand on the bad crimp sidepull. Put a foot on and go hot to the good hold on the arete.

Comments: Yes, the crack is off, though you use a couple of holds that are really close to the crack.

Comments: If you climb it as one pitch, you miss the best belay ledge at DL! This has always been considered a two-pitch climb.

Comments: Super classic old school DL problem. I thought it was harder than V2, but I never used the left foothold that Remo's using in the picture. With the old school problems, if the hold's good, it's probably off route.

Comments: Thirty-seven feet? Given that I was finger jamming about every nine inches, and subtract the first five feet, that means I did over 40 jams in that length. That sounds about right. No wonder it seems taller.

Comments: This is a great spot to get a in quick workout. The bouldering traverses are nice and pumpy, though watch for broken glass on the edges. I spent many afternoons here, traversing around and around the pillars.
