Comments: Excellent route, I did the second a couple years after the first and a couple times since. Does it still have the original bolts/ Leeper hangers on the descent/TR anchors?

Comments: We climbed this yesterday, Greg Cameron, Laurent (surname unknown) and myself.
Lots if bad rock and scary climbing as described previously. The crux pith however is stellar! 5 star! Our consensus was 5.10c, it's that pesky squeeze to offwidth size where you're always on the verge of slipping,a grunt, but not very hard technically. The cleanest pitch on the route, to boot!

The guidebook (desert rock III)says it's 420' long so we did it on 420, cough!

Comments: Why is it called Bioturbation wall? Bioturbation happens underwater. Wingate is an aeolian (formed on land) sandstone. Is there a funny story?

Weren't you a math major?

Comments: Why so defensive, Justin? I imagine a provincial area scholar such as yourself already knew this and has the same 1/2ยข guidebook I do. Do you need an ISBN#?

And, you did just make a pretty mean spirited, sweeping, accusation and personnal attack, on myself, do you have anything to back that up? Anything to tell my Wyoming lawyer?

Comments: Pretty sure Halfpenny referred to it as Limbo Rock, something over there was, anyway. But that was before your time, Justin, so I can see how you might have missed it.

Comments: I onsight free soloed this back in '77 or so, when I was a skinny kid from Laramie, total tunneler. Not barefoot but in EBs. Now, 15 lbs heavier and 34 yrs, more mature, I suspect it would the fringes for me!

Comments: John Wilke led on the first ascent. Myself, John Rutt, and Joe Cupps followed. about a million years ago, Maybe '80? '79? I bet it was '79. I think it was the summer before John Rutt died in the Buggs....

We rated it .11b in those EB days. For years later, there was talk of rating it .11a, because 'we couldn't climb that hard.'
