Comments: Just curious why we are assigning safety rating to bouldering grades. I could be completely wrong but I thought safety ratings were created for trad climbing. I understand it can be used to describe the seriousness and danger involved with the problem but I think utimately it just creates confusion. Lets show some respect for the man who created the scale and leave V5 alone. The beauty of the v-scale is in its simplicity, just like the beauty of bouldering.

Comments: There is very specific beta for topping this one out without having to put your meat into it. It involves high feet and good lock off ability.

Comments: Ok, I am sure this climb is super cool, but I look at this photo and can't help but think that it is over bolted. I mean four bolts in one photo! This looks crazy.

Comments: I don't think I have ever been on this route in the picture. I have been on 13 Engines before. Last time I was around the Mensus Prow area I spent more time than I would like to admit on it. It kinda looks similar to 13 Engines. There is a big runout on 13 Engines between the third and the fourth bolt. Once you clip the fourth you pull the crux moves. It kinda looks like you could be at the fourth bolt in your photo, but you have another bolt near your foot and one beneath that. Unless 13 Engine... more >>

Comments: Lots of wasps right now. Anything that has some kind of crack or roof feature that the wasps can hide behind will surely be covered in wasps. Despite the amount of wasp we were not stung. I am not sure why the wasps did not sting us. Maybe they are used to the climbers. Maybe they can't sting. Not sure but they were very disturbing.

Comments: Is this on the Powerline Boulder? The one with the slackline next to it. Just wondering. I spent a lot of time up there climbing and must of overlooked this one. I also don't climb V11.

Comments: I climbed this route today and thought it was a fun route. While bouldering up to the first bolt I ripped a hold off the wall and almost pitched off onto the sloping talus covered ground. Upon arriving at the fourth bolt above the crux I noticed that the nut holding the bolt onto the wall was so loose I thought a strong wind could blow it off the wall. I tightened the nut by hand clipped it and continued to the anchors which were also loose. I also tightened them by hand and rapped off this ... more >>
