Grew up in Palmer Gulch in the 50's, scrambled up Elkhorn solo when I was fifteen, and just recently started climbing easy stuff with my cousin HJ and Susan S. Always have loved the Needles and Pine Creek Natural Area... lots of climbs yet to be done in the backcountry away from the roads.
