I usually solo it a handful of times each year and if you want to rope up it is great for practice placing gear. I have found hexes very useful. The "steep" crack on the final pitch is amazing (I would rate it at 5.6) - the rest of the climb seems to be right around 5th class.

Lots of broken glass; be careful if you are walking around without your shoes on.

By: Ish When: Aug 7, 2008 | view comment >> | Comments: Climbed at Left Wire in this area yesterday. There are some short quality routes that look as though they have not seen many ascents. Great views of the Clear Creek drainage and a good way to get away from the crowds at High Wire.
