The "Latin name" of Arugula is Eruca sativa. If i remember correctly, "Eruca" is from Latin meaning some sort of cabbage and "sativa" means something like "cultivated" or "grown."
And perhaps, I was having mild hallucinations. (I will say that many of the other responses in these Rumney forums have seemed a little "hallucinogenic" lately...)

A little background: "Arugula" is a vegetable frequently used as a salad green and is popular in Italian cuisine. It's also known as "rocket" or "rucola," depending how pretentious the restaurant serving the salad is...

But, I'm having a very hard time seeing this as a battle in an "ethical war," rather than a case of someone who didn't take personal responsibility for his actions and safety and made a bad mistake.
Fortunately, he was very, very lucky.
The draws on "Man Overboard" have been there for a long time, too long... Was it responsible behavior to blindly trust a piece of gear that has been technically "abandoned" for years?

2) i didn't know that bolts were forbidden in "wilderness areas," i thought bolts placed with "power drills" were forbidden...
sounds like the usfs need to do a better job in letting the rest of us (you know, the tax payer types who fund the usfs...) exactly what we can and cant do on public land....

i'm sure i'm violating all of the guidelines for this forum; but, this sort of post drive me crazy. if something "needs" to be done, maybe you should just do it yourself...
i realize it was meant as a "heads up," public service announcement. but, to me they always sound like a "work order" given so the "rumney maintenance staff" can get busy and fix it.
