Comments: Just a reminder to have your membership card and photo ID on you when climbing. Was out here this morning and was asked for my card and ID. I've been climbing here since I was 17 and and this is the first time I've seen anyone out checking; so it does happen!

Other boulderers were asked and as far as I could tell everyone was polite and produced their memberships no problem. Yay.

Comments: Yeah, the initial left hand hold broke. I think it was a tooth-like hold and now it's a nice side pull. I'd agree that the breakage doesn't change the grade.

Comments: Yeah the talus area above the Herman Creek trail had some good potential. You would need at least two or three pads and as many spotters to make it safe/enjoyable.

The guidebook author in the new "Northwest Bouldering" guide described something similar to the Depot; was really hoping to find that.

Comments: I checked this place out today. I guess I found the boulders? Super mossy(hey it's oregon) and small. Most of the problems have death pit landings. Supposedly there are good problems here with flat landings, I could not find them. The majority of the boulders are super small...you'd have to bend over to top them out. I probably won't be back...

Comments: I went out here last August. Great views for sure, but I would not go back for the bouldering. I'd only head here if you were dead bored with other areas and wanted a nice hike too.

Also, if you don't like seeing people with guns, I'd stay away.

Comments: Ha ha, well-travelled for a reason. Great route, especially combined with Red Eye.

Comments: I think combining this with Thai Stick for the start is the way to go. A long runner before you launch into the overhang is a good idea.

Comments: At the chimney/stem move at the top, do not head right or you will be in a world of hurt!

Comments: The third bolt seemed oddly hard to clip for a shorter person (and I'm 5'9"). Not a big deal, but your waaaay past your last clip. Agree with the above; for the grade, there is no better route in the PDX area. Super clean falls, so it's a good one to push your limit!

Comments: Although this route is only 5.9 I would not recommend it for anyone not comfortable leading JT 5.10. The pro at the traverse is solid but little funky to place and the traverse itself can be pretty heady. Save a yellow tcu for your first piece of gear after the traverse. I was glad I had it.

Comments: Whoa, I did regular Pope's Crack probably only days after you guys put this up. When I got to the traverse I looked up and saw a pin and bolt wondered "where does that go?" Had I known it was only .10a I would have gone for it. Good job.

Comments: I may be referring to the "birdman" but...

Has anyone ever been to this problem and seen the crazy guy who sits in the corner and keeps attempting a lockoff move and then stepping off. I was there once and he tried this same move about fifty times. He would mumble to himself in between attempts. He was there every time I've been to Gunsmoke, but last week he was absent! Did anything happen to him?

Comments: There is no way this route is any harder than .10a. The slab crux seemed similar in difficulty to other .10- slabs in JTree. The handcrack/roof is really just one move. A very fun route though, I enjoyed it.

Comments: I can't believe this route only gets 2.5 stars! The start's a little odd, but the handcrack above is really cool.

Comments: I usually don't complain about bolts...but at one point I had one at my foot, one at my waist, and I was clipping a third. Still, a unique climb and pretty fun!

Comments: I've seen not one but two people get their knees stuck on this climb and have to be rescued. Apparently they let blood pool in the upper leg which subsequently perma-cammed the knee in. It looked really painful.
